Rules for entry

As we wait for further announcements from our government, we are very hopeful this event will go ahead. We made the decision to start planning and advertising now as it’s takes so much organising. We have seen other event organisers across Leeds planning events too for 2021 so we are all keeping our fingers crossed.

However, if we have to cancel the event you have the option to take a full refund or we can carry your entry payment over to 2022.

To participate, you must complete the entry form above. Entry into the competition is £2.00 Please transfer payment to:

Mrs C F Draper
Sort Code: 05-06-76

The account is a business account.

Profits from the festival are donated to Pudsey In Bloom Due to Covid-19 we are not giving permission for pitstops as in 2019.  We need to keep everyone as safe as possible. There will be plenty of food and drink stalls in the park, and some shops will be open to purchase refreshments.

Please continue to practice social distancing throughout the event, this includes whilst in the park and visiting Scarecrows around our town.

The entry deadline is Midnight, Saturday 31st July 2021

  • Your Scarecrow must be an original piece of work and made from scratch
  • Your Scarecrow must be in good taste and suitable for a family event
  • Your Scarecrow must be placed on private property and maintained in good order throughout the event from 11am until 4pm on Sunday 5th September.
  • You must not display your scarecrow the night before due to the risk of vandalism
  • General road safety must be considered when determining the placement of Scarecrows
  • We would like to encourage you to use recycled materials, the winners from last year used all recycled materials!

Please HAVE FUN making your Scarecrow, get your neighbours involved, family & friends. This is a community event and we need as many Scarecrows as possible.

Your entry maybe made up of multiple Scarecrows, please state this on your entry form.

If you live outside of Pudsey and you would still like to enter a Scarecrow then please let me know on the entry form, we will display it in Pudsey park for all to see. Please bring it to the park between 10am – 11am on Sunday 5th September

All Scarecrows should be named with its name clearly displayed so we can add it to the trail map, this will also help with judging the competition by members of Pudsey In Bloom

By entering your Scarecrow, you confirm that you accept these rules
