Every month we aim to put the spotlight on a business within the community, whether a shop or a market trader. For our third entry in the series we popped down to say hello to one of the newer members of our business community, Topstitch. Topstitch joined the Pudsey business community in 2020 and has gone from strength to strength, helping empower our creative community and provide only the best of craft materials for the most interesting of project.
We caught up with Jacqui on how business is shaping up as we approach the end of the COVID-19 pandemic and find out how Pudsey has treated them since they joined.
I am Jacqui a mum of two from Lancashire who loves nothing more than crafting, chatting and being creative. I started with a small shop space in Blackpool in 2012 and soon wanted to expand to have my own shop and community hub for creatives. I lived in Fleetwood at the time so that seemed the obvious destination. Topstitch started in 2014 in Fleetwood, Lancashire, moving to Pudsey in 2020 to set up the fabric, haberdashery and wool shop it is today.
An Aladdin’s cave of creativity!
I pride myself on excellent customer service and many customers soon become friends of Topstitch.
We sell a wide range of products the most popular being Stylecraft Yarns and Fabric.
Since moving to Pudsey in 2019 and opening the shop in 2020 its close community feel is everywhere. People come together to make it a great place to live. There are so many creative people in Pudsey and they connect with each other on projects for the community and I’m sure it helps to combat loneliness and mental health issues too.
