Business Focus – #8 – Oh Hello Studio

Every month we aim to put the spotlight on a business within the community, whether it’s a shop or a market trader. For our eighth entry in the series we popped down Fulneck to catch up with one of our latest businesses, Oh Hello Studio! Oh Hello Studio was recently opened by owner and all round craft expert, Emily Wilby. The shop is now open to the public and is a fantastically unique addition to the Pudsey business community. It offers people the opportunity to create the perfect gift by painting and crafting their own pot and producing some of the most fantastic baby prints we’ve ever laid eyes on. Read on to find out more, in Emily’s own words.

Tell us about yourselves, where it all began and your ties to Pudsey?

We are a ceramic studio offering paint your own pot, personalised gifts and baby hand and foot prints. My name is Emily and I am the owner of Oh Hello Studio, I started creating ceramics when I was running another studio. This is where I developed my own artwork which paved the way for me to start Oh Hello Studio. I’m originally from around the Selby area and we have just moved to Pudsey, we are extremely happy to have joined the community who have been so welcoming to us.

How would you describe your business in one sentence?

Crafty Ceramics Studio full of personalised, hand painted pots to create yourself or for purchase.

What can customers expect from you?

We’re a friendly, welcoming studio that is always willing to lend a hand. We can help you and offer advice whilst painting your own pot or create bespoke artworks using your babies hand or foot prints.

As well as creating gifts for special occasions, we have lots of experience and always ready to take on a challenge.

Baby Prints ! We love capturing your baby prints forever on a piece you can proudly display in your home. Whether it’s a photo frame, a mug or even a baby bum print we’ve got lots of ideas and always willing to help make the perfect print for you. These make greats gifts for grandparents, and we even offer gift cards for new parents.

What do you enjoy most about Pudsey?

Everyone has been so welcoming, lovely and kind. We’re very happy to have joined such a lovely community.
