Pudsey hosts a number of fantastic events every month, from live music through to sporting events. We’re here to help shine the spotlight on them and tell you more about what to expect. This month we had a chat with the team at Pudsey Congs about their inaugural Beer Festival. Most people in Pudsey know The Congs, they’re based on Amber Cars Britannia Ground on Intake Road (behind the Britannia pub). For the first time they will be holding a Beer Festival, with live music, fantastic beers and ciders and a gin and prosecco bar – it’s an event not to be missed.
Pudsey Congs Cricket Club is hosting its first ever Beer Festival in October. Our event will run over three days, starting Friday the 15th with the final day being Sunday the 17th.
The event is held at the Club’s famous cricket ground, which can be found at Amber Cars Britannia Ground, 24 Intake Road, LS28 9AP.
The fun begins at 6pm on the 15th, but you can also attend one of the other days. Saturday the 16th and Sunday the 17th the entertainment kicks off at 12 noon.
The event is not to miss if you’re a Beer aficionado, we’ll have more than 20 Craft Beers, Real Ales and Ciders ready to tickle your tastebuds. There will also be a Gin & Prosecco bar for those that prefer, and of course no Beer Festival is complete without some tasty food.
Sample more than 20 Craft Beers, Real Ales and Ciders at Pudsey Congs Cricket Club whilst you take in the live music & tasty food 🙂
We have an unbelievable amount of entertainment and things to do over the weekend, first and foremost it’s a traditional Beer Festival so we’ll have a fantastic range of Beers, Ales and Ciders to taste from our festival bar. On the Friday evening we are hosting local supergroup The Cardinals, widely regarded as one of the best local talents – they’re sure to bring the house down.
On Saturday the 16th we’ll once again have all the drinks you could want, but to top that off we have the fantastic Remember Hillards playing only the best in 80’s music until late.
It doesn’t end there though! There is plenty more to do and see on the Sunday.
If you’ve never visited Pudsey Congs before, everybody is welcome – bring yourself and your entire family for a fantastic weekend. There is plenty of space for all, inside and out!
Pudsey Congs was first established in 1982, we have been playing cricket at the Amber Cars Britannia Ground since 1977. The club was literally built by its members, the people of Pudsey, and has an extremely proud history both on and off the field.
The Congs have been part of the fabric of Pudsey for so long, we’re absolutely thrilled to be organising such a large event and to provide the perfect opportunity for people to come together, meet and enjoy all the festivities.
We truly hope you have a great time at our Beer Festival and want to return in the future, whether that’s for another drink, to try your hand at cricket or even bringing your little ones along to our Junior Sessions.
Just turn up! No tickets are required for our weekend event, just pop down to see us at 24 Intake Road.
The Festival Bar will be signposted, and a weekend pass with festival glass and programme will be available for just £3.
See you there!
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves. For some, there’s no better way to spend a day, night or weekend than a trip to a local Beer Festival. We at MyPudsey enjoy nothing more than supporting our local events and we’ll be around for the Pudsey Congs event, if you see us come and say hello! We do this for the love of our community, and what better way to celebrate the community than a good old knees up, tasty food and fantastic live music. Pudsey really does it best!
