Introducing, the very first Pudsey Bear hunt.
This time last year, sadly due to the pandemic the annual 2p Challenge Event at Pudsey Leisure Centre wasn’t able to go ahead, so we went on the hunt for a new idea to bring a little bit of joy to the people of Pudsey. The Pudsey Lottery team decided to purchase some small, yellow, furry bears… Yep, you guessed it! Pudsey Bears! However due to circumstances outside of our control, we weren’t able to unleash the bears upon our town. This year, we’re ready and raring to go!
The bears have been well looked after, and kept fed and watered and they’re ready to take over Pudsey tomorrow.
Well, it’s a competition for the younger members of our town. The aim is to get them out and about in the town, enjoying the fresh Pudsey air whilst also testing their powers of observation! ?
This Friday see’s the return of the 2p challenge, or more officially known as the “2p Pirate Challenge” which I’m sure you’ve all been saving for. This means it’s the perfect time to add an additional bit of fun, all in the spirit of the Children in Need event.
To help run and manage the event the Pudsey Lottery team have joined forces with the MyPudsey team to try and spread the word far and wide, and offer our free to enter competition with 5 lucky prize winners to be announced Monday at 6pm.
All you need to do is take a walk around Pudsey centre from midday Thursday the 18th November until Monday the 22nd November, and keep a keen eye on the lovely shop windows dotted around the town. In 15 windows, you’ll find a little Pudsey Bear hiding amongst the display. Make sure you’re carrying a pen and paper, because we need you to jot down where you saw each bear, and what letter the bear carries. Once you have spotted some letters, the rest is simple – tell us the letters and where they were seen. For bonus points, look for all 15 and tell us what phrase it spells out!
Simple, right? ?
Although our event is designed to be safe generally, you should take a responsible adult with you. Not only can they ensure you are kept safe during your travels, they can help you find our bears and send us the answers. Who knows, maybe they’ll pick you up a nice treat from one of Pudsey’s many fantastic businesses whilst you’re out. ?
Whilst you’re out, why not consider picking up a Pudsey Lottery ticket? Every month the team draw out 5 prizes of Pudsey Pounds, which can be redeemed for goods in many Pudsey businesses. Take a look here https://www.mypudsey.co.uk/local-businesses/pudsey-lottery-pudsey-pounds/ for the list of businesses that accept them.
As with any competition, we do have some rules in place to make the competition fair. Although, thankfully not many!
We also ask that you are very careful, mindful and respectful of others that you come across on your travels.
A huge thank you must also go to Jacqui from Topstitch who did a tremendous job creating the letters for our Pudsey Bears.
First of all congratulations on finding the answer! To enter our prize draw, simply fill in the form located below with your answers. Once you have submitted your entry, you will get a confirmation message and then you’re in! All you need to do then is put your feet up, and wait for the winners to be announced in a few days time. ?
Thank you so much for your interest, but this competition has now closed. If you have entered, please keep your eyes on our Facebook page to find out if you're one of the winners.
