Business Focus – 16 – Hideout

Every month we aim to put the spotlight on a business within the community, whether it’s a shop, market trader or services provider. For our sixteenth entry in the series we caught up new kids on the block, Hideout. Hideout have been open since the end of October 2021, taking over from the former Rudy’s Bar on Lidget Hill. Since then Hideout has gone from strength to strength and has gained tremendous popularity in Pudsey with their divine range of beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) and fantastically fun weekly events such as the Hideout Quiz. Read on to find out more about Hideout, in their own words.

Tell us about yourselves, where it all began and your ties to Pudsey?

Hi there! We’re Hideout. We’re all Pudsey locals with a passion for great drinks and an incredible atmosphere. Being local, we always felt when we wanted to go for a drink or to try some local ales we had to go elsewhere. When the opportunity to buy the bar, we jumped at it. Our main aim was to create a bar that we personally would love to drink in, and one that other locals could relax in and enjoy.

How would you describe your business in one sentence?

We’re all about local ales, fresh cocktails and great wine in a friendly, relaxed environment!

What can customers expect from you?

Our customers can expect fantastic ales (over 60 varieties!), either from the tap or in cans. We’re also constantly changing what’s on offer to keep it fresh and allow our customers the chance to try something new. Alongside our real ale/craft beer, we also sell lovely, freshly made cocktails made directly in front of you. Lastly, we’re an extremely friendly bunch and love to chat to and to entertain our customers whilst they enjoy our product range.

Tell us about your most popular product(s)

We have ales from Farsley, Armley, Saltaire and Hebden Bridge, just to name a few, which go down a treat. We’ve also worked with Horsforth Brewery to create our very own Hideout pale ale, which sold out so quick we didn’t have the next batch ready yet! Don’t worry though, it’s back now!

What do you enjoy most about Pudsey?

We love the community in Pudsey. We’re already seeing lots of regular locals come to the bar and we can’t wait to get involved in some of the local events!
